"Oh right," I mutter as I carry my box of sadness into the apartment. We
have keys to each other's apartments, which is so new and special that
sometimes I forget that it's even real. The dogs crowd me, my precious
children who will never leave me to go to school, and I flop down onto the
sofa with a sigh.
"It was the last day of camp, remember?" I say as I look up at Bitty,
melting into the couch in a mopey puddle. "I had to say goodbye to all my
kids."
